Webhosting Done Right

This acceptable use policy ("AUP") dicates the rules and regulations reguarding your hosting account with SiteSurvival.com and Amusive Communications, our parent company. Failure to comply with this acceptable use policy can result in termination of your service agreement.

Use of our services constitutes acceptance and agreement to our AUP.

Please note all payments to SiteSurvival.com/Amusive Communications are only refundable on a pro-rated basis for time remaining in your payment term. Refunds are not available for service lapsed, reguardless if it was used or not.

The following are violations of our AUP:

  1. Illegal Purposes. Our services may not be used for anything illegal under any state or federal law in the United States of America.
  2. Harm to minors. Use of our services to harm or attempt to harm minors in any way (including child pornography) is forbidden. Harvesting information on minors under the age of 13 is also not allowed.
  3. Threats. Any material -- posts, uploads, email -- may not threaten or encourage bodily harm or destruction of property.
  4. Harassment.
  5. Fraudulent Activity. This includes pyramid schemes, ponzi schemes and chain letters.
  6. Forgery or impersonation. This includes attempts to appear as another site (such as Amazon, eBay).
  7. Unsolicited commercial email / unsolicited bulk email. Use of our services to transmit or receive traffic from transmitted unsolicited commercial email will result in your account being terminated immediately. We do not allow sites which support spammers, sell spamware or email addresses, or that cause any of our IPs to become blacklisted.
  8. Usenet Spamming. Posting of inappropriate commercial messages on usenet newsgroups.
  9. Email or Newsgroup Bombing. Mass posting or emailing is not allowed.
  10. Unauthorized access. Using our services in an attempt to gain access, or to gain access, security measures of any machine (including the one you are hosted on).
  11. Trademark or copyright infringement. Transmitting any material that infringes upon any copyright, trademark, patent, trade secret, or other proprietary right.
  12. Collection of personal data. You are not allowed to collect, or attempt to collect, personal information about third parties without their knowledge or consent.
  13. Fraud.
  14. Distribution of Viruses.
  15. Third Party Accountability. You are held accountable for any activity by a third party using your account.
  16. IRC Usage. Usage of IRC on our machines (to connect or host your own server) is not allowed.
  17. Server Resource Overuse. Our servers are shared machines. Because of this, abusing shared resources (overusage of CPU or RAM) is not allowed. We will attempt to warn you before this becomes an issue, however, sudden peaks can cause your site or script in question to be removed temporarily until you can take action to reduce the CPU/RAM usage.
